【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedtoprovidestandardizedproceduresforevaluatingultrasonicsearchunits.Itisnotintendedtodefineperformanceandacceptancecriteria,butrathertoprovidedatafromwhichsuchcriteriamaybeestablished.Theseproceduresareintendedtoevaluatethecharacteristicsofsingle-elementpiezoelectricsearchunits.Implementationmayrequiremoredetailedproceduralinstructionsinaformatoftheusingfacility.Themeasurementdataobtainedmaybeemployedbyusersofthisguidetospecify,describe,orprovideaperformancecriteriaforprocurementandqualityassurance,orserviceevaluationoftheoperatingcharacteristicsofultrasonicsearchunits.Allorportionsoftheguidemaybeusedasdeterminedbytheuser.Themeasurementsaremadeprimarilyunderpulse-echoconditions.Todeterminetherelativeperformanceofasearchunitaseitheratransmitterorareceivermayrequireadditionaltests.Whiletheseproceduresrelatetomanyofthesignificantparameters,othersthatmaybeimportantinspecificapplicationsmaynotbetreated.Thesemightincludepowerhandlingcapability,breakdownvoltage,wearpropertiesofcontactunits,radio-frequencyinterference,andthelike.Caremustbetakentoensurethatcomparablemeasurementsaremadeandthatusersoftheguidefollowsimilarprocedures.Theconditionsspecifiedorselected(ifoptional)mayaffectthetestresultsandleadtoapparentdifferences.Interpretationofsometestresults,suchastheshapeofthefrequencyresponsecurve,maybesubjective.Smallirregularitiesmaybesignificant.Interpretationofthetestresultsisbeyondthescopeofthisguide.Certainresultsobtainedusingtheproceduresoutlinedmaydifferfrommeasurementsmadewithultrasonictestinstruments.Thesedifferencesmaybeattributedtodifferencesinthenatureoftheexperimentortheelectricalcharacteristicsoftheinstrumentation.Thepulsegeneratorusedtoobtainthefrequencyresponseandtimeresponseofthesearchunitmusthavearisetime,duration,andspectralcontentsufficienttoexcitethesearchunitoveritsfullbandwidth,otherwisetimedistortionanderroneousresultsmayresult.1.1Thisguidecoversmeasurementproceduresforevaluatingcertaincharacteristicsofultrasonicsearchunits(alsoknownasx201C;transducersx201D;)thatareusedwithultrasonicexaminationinstrumentation.Thisguidedescribesmeansforobtainingperformancedatathatmaybeusedtodefinetheacousticandelectricresponsesofultrasonicsearchunits.1.2Theproceduresaredesignedtomeasuresearchunitsasindividualcomponents(separatefromtheultrasonictestinstrument)usingcommercialsearchunitcharacterizationsystemsorusinglaboratoryinstrumentssuchassignalgenerators,pulsers,amplifiers,oscilloscopes,andwaveformanalyzers.1.3Theproceduresareapplicabletomanufacturingacceptanceandincominginspectionofnewsearchunitsortoperiodicperformanceevaluationofsearchunitsthroughouttheirservicelife.1.4TheproceduresinAnnexA1-AnnexA6aregenerallyapplicabletoultrasonicsearchunitsoperatingwithinthe0.4to10MHzrange.AnnexA7isapplicabletohigherfrequencyimmersionsearchunitevaluation.AnnexA8describesaguideformeasuringsoundbeamprofilesinmetalsfromcontactstraight-beamsearchunits.AdditionalAnnexes,suchassoundbeamprofilingforangle-beamsearchunitsinmetalandalternatemeansforsearchunitcharacterization,willbeaddedwhendeveloped.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallo......
