【摘要】:Referencesoftwareisnormativeinthesensethatanyconformingimplementationofthesoftware,takingthesameconformantbitstreams,usingthesameoutputfileformat,willoutputthesamefile.ComplyingISO/IEC14496implementationsarenotexpectedtofollowthealgorithmsortheprogrammingtechniquesusedbythereferencesoftware.Althoughthedecodingsoftwareisconsiderednormative,itcannotaddanythingtothetextualtechnicaldescriptionincludedinparts1,2,3and6ofISO/IEC14496.ThesoftwarecontainedinthispartofISO/IEC14496isdividedintothreecategories:a)Elementarystreamdecodingsoftwareiscataloguedinclauses3,4and5.Thissoftwareacceptselementarystreamsencodedaccordingtothenormativespecificationinparts1,2,3and6ofISO/IEC14496anddecodesthestreamsintothemediatypesassociatedwitheachelementarystream.Whilethissoftwareappearsinthenormativepartofthisspecification,attentionisdrawntothefactthattheimplementationtechniquesusedinthissoftwarearenotconsiderednormative–severaldifferentimplementationscouldproducethesameresult–butthesoftwareisconsiderednormativeinthatitcorrectlyimplementsthedecodingprocessesdescribedinparts1,2,3and6ofISO/IEC14496.b)ElementarystreamencodingsoftwareiscataloguedinAnnexA(informative).Thissoftwarecreateselementarystreamsfromassociatedmediatypes.Theencodersareprovidedasameanstoobtainelementarystreamswiththenormativesyntaxdescribedinparts1,2and3ofISO/IEC14496.Thetechniquesusedforencodingarenotspecifiedbythisspecification,andthequalityandcomplexityoftheseencodershasnotbeenoptimized.c)UtilitysoftwareiscataloguedinAnnexB(informative).Thissoftwarewasfoundusefulbythedevelopersofthestandard,butmaynotconformtothenormativespecificationsgiveninparts1,2,3and6ofISO/IEC14496.FilelocationsgiveninthispartofISO/IEC14496areexpressedrelativetoitslocationinthesourcetree.
