【摘要】:GeneralUtility:Itisusefultoverifycatalystlevelsinaresinblendorapolyurethanesystem.Thispracticeissuitableforresearch,qualitycontrol,specificationtesting,andprocesscontrol.Limitations:Severalofthemeasuredparametersaresubjective.Therefore,operator-to-operatorvariabilityandlab-to-labvariabilitycanbemuchhigherthanthatofasingleoperator.Thevariabilityofthispracticeisdependentontheconsistencyofmixingofthereactants.Theestimationofprecisioninthispracticeisbasedontypicalformulationsforrigidandflexiblefoams.Formulationswithfasterreactiontimeswilllikelyhavegreatervariability,particularlycreamtime(initiationtime).Formulationswithslowerreactiontimeswilllikelyhavegreatervariabilityinthemeasurementoffreerisetime.Itispossiblethatlow-level(ppm,ppb)ingredientcontaminationwillnotbedetectableusingthispractice.Confirmationofsuchcontaminationwillpotentiallyrequirelarge-scale(~20litres)testsandisoutofthescopeofthispractice.1.1Thispracticecoversthedeterminationofcreamtime(initiationtime),topofcuptime,freerisetime,freeriseheight,stringgeltime(pulltime),tackfreetime,settleback,andfreerisedensityofpolyurethanefoamformulationsusingacupfoamtest.1.2Typicaldefinitions,terms,andtechniquesaredescribed;includingproceduresformixingandtransferringsamplestothefoamingcontainer;anddatagatheringandevaluation.However,agreementbetweenthecustomerandthetestinglaboratoryforalltheseitemsmustbeobtainedpriortouse.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
